The Worlds Most Random

Prepare yourself for the most random post of all time. I mean it. I've got about 4 sentences on about 15 different topics.

First, Roommate. Still wondering what makes that smell, but we're on to bigger and more meaty problems. He got fired. And he's conducting the laziest job search I've ever witnessed. It's not like the world is crawling with amazing jobs right now. So, I hooked him up with my company. The manager told me to have him come up and fill out an application and he would sit down and talk with him. But Roomie didn't have time to go that day. HE'S UNEMPLOYED! So, I let the boss know he would be in the next day. He didn't show. My sissy's fiance (aka Roomie's best friend) can get him on at the cable company. Roomie? Not interested. This morning he had an interview at some "sports minded sales opportunity" (sidenote: I've answered that job posting myself and it's selling vitamins on the Internet OR some Amway type business; I can't remember) but he didn't go because he didn't have his resume printed out! Seriously? He used to work in a warehouse . And now he wants a sales job. But, he won't take a job that pays less than $15 an hour. I have so many problems with this train of thought: entry level sales jobs usually pay commission only. So, the job he is searching for doesn't exist. His rent is paid up til March 15th at least.

Second, the fart smell coming out of my vents is gone. It just vanished over the weekend. Thank God!

Third, Saturday, I went to this Award Dinner for the local Apartment Association with my bosses (we'll call them The Bobs). I had to get all dressed up. LBD and all. I was less than thrilled with the idea. However, there were hot guys everywhere. So that was kind of nice eye candy! They (The Bobs) are ridiculous. Basically, we showed up. Ate dinner. Ditch the actual awards and drank at the bar. So, all in all, a pretty good night. Boy my head sure hurt on Sunday though. Oh, and I'm back on the wagon--till I fall off again :)

Fourth, I got several awesome workouts in this weekend. I think I'm gonna run a 5k in a couple weeks. I used to loath running but somehow I'm starting to really like it. I went to step class, yoga, and turbo kick (man, that class will really work it out). However, I ate pretty bad. I know you've seen those commercials for the Spicy Enchilada Platter for Taco Bell....WHOA! In my defense? De-freakin-licous. Perhaps Taco Bell was a viable accomplice in the weight gain debacle of 2008? I'm just saying...

Fifth, I feel like I'm drifting away from my friends; a little. I'm not sure why. But I've barely hung out with any of them in the last couple weeks. Granted it's been V-day and I've had a couple weekend work things but I'm missing them :( I really need to make an effort to put something together soon!

Sixth, I saw He's Just Not That Into You. Again. Where has this movie been all my life? It's such an easy concept to pick up when you really think about it. This day in age there is no reason for anyone to wait around for a phone call and I totally agree with Drew Barrymore's character when she's talking about all the different technologies--IT IS TOTALLY EXHAUSTING! Facebook. Myspace. Personal Email. Work Email. Texting. Home Phone. Cell Phone. IM. It's too much.

And finally, I absolutely LOVED not having a phone over the weekend. I thought it would be torture. It wasn't. It was completely liberating. No checking email, texts, facebook, vm. I was completely out of touch. Maybe that has something to do with why I'm feeling a little removed from all my friends?

Well, hopefully, roommate will find his dream job while playing computer games today. And I'll make ridiculously fun plans with the girls. And I'll work off the 2800 calories from the Spicy Enchilada Platter...

Oh, and incase I forgot to mention it: missed you all over the the weekend!
