Units of Measurement

Since we abandoned the group workout last night, Hubs and I settled in for a night of rain, thunderstorms, and the Grey’s Anatomy finale....it was sooooo good.

In the Carter household we have one unit of measurement for TV shows and movies---his name is Hubs.  If Hubs does one of the following three things during a TV show I know it was a winner.  Those things are:  laugh out loud (yeah, I said LOL, but in this instance I don't mean it in the valley girl type of way you are thinking--he really does "Laugh Out Loud" and I mean really loud), cry (Hubs once shed a tear during "A Knight's Tale," you know the one, the one where Heath Ledger pretends to be of noble blood so he can joust?  Yep, that one gets Hubs every time.) OR if I catch him squeezing my leg so hard I have to physically pry his hands off because it's starting to go to sleep (technically, that has only happened a handful of times but once he was squeezing AND crying so it totally counts as a category.) I know we have found a DVR staple.

The Ultimate Fighter usually gets a leg squeeze.  The Big Bang Theory gets out loud laughs.  But Grey's Anatomy totally came from behind and stole the show this week.  Hubs was all kinds of crying for the entire last hour.

Dear ABC,

I wanted to give you mad props--you got Hubs....AGAIN.  (Yeah, this isn't the first time he's cried at your dramatics but usually he waits to let it all out during the final 5 minutes but this week you really out did yourself---it was water works the entire time!)  Hubs is totally hooked--I can't wait for next season!   Oh, maybe before it starts you could send tissues?  Hubs just uses so many and we're trying to save money!

I'll be missing you....
