It's not my fault I work out of my house

OK, I may or may not have serious issues. I work out of my house. Only going to the office once a week or so. My job consists of calling (in person or on the phone) businesses and convincing them to switch over to our service. It's mostly relationship building/account maintenance...not really rocket science and I absolutely LOVE the freedom. But, for a self proclaimed couch potato I think I'm getting into some bad habits. Between Facebook, Myspace, blogging, reading, and the freezing temps....I'm having a hard time getting motivated to actually leave the house and build aforementioned relationships.

Let me give you a little breakdown of my day.
  • Woke up to snow.
  • Made Coffee
  • Checked Blogs
  • Checked Email (personal THEN work)
  • Facebook and Myspace
  • Made 4 or 5 work related calls
  • Checked Blogs again (i know, I have issues)
  • Went to Subway (you have to try the steak and bacon flat bread...delish)
  • Did a quick project for my boss
  • Checked Email again (only personal)
  • Discovered the excitement of 20 something bloggers
  • Signed up for Twitter
  • Watched Gilmore Girls
  • Made dinner
  • Work email one more time
  • Checked Blogs again (don't judge, they don't all update at the same time)

Now, I'm on the couch for the night. I have no plans to go anywhere or do anything. I completed about 1 hour of actual work today....in my defense, tomorrow will be a ridiculously busy day, full of riding around with my boss and an Apartment Association dinner. Thank goodness, because if I keep this schedule going, I won't have anything interesting to post about...EVER!

I am independent contractor and can work from home too...but I make myself come to the office, just so I get out and about...and then I check the blogs (over and over again..you are not alone!). :)

Wow, it would be so nice to have such freedom with a job! But, I like dressing up, so I don't mind going to work, although sometimes it means I'm gone for 12+ hours (like today...so annoyed!)
